Engineered from the ground up utilizing Lucent CBX-500 Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and BSTDX-9000 Frame Relay switches, NetRail's Tier One backbone network consists of more than 20,000 route miles of fiber optic cable, and OC-12, OC-3, and DS-3 backbone trunks with OC-48 capacity by the end of 2000.

Frame Relay service is offered at port speeds of 64Kbps to 45Mbps with Committed Information Rates (CIR) from 4Kbps to 1.544 Mbps. ATM service is offered at port speeds of 3Mbps to 155Mbps. Constant Bit Rate (CBR), Variable Bit Rate (VBR) and Unspecified Bit Rate (UBR) are available for various Quality of Service (QoS) applications, with CIRs from 1 to 145 Mbps.

NetRail's Virtual Channel Connections (VCC) allow you to establish data services ranging from basic point-to-point connectivity to a fully meshed national high-speed data network.
